Gallery collection renders homage to Drip painting, a form of abstract art in which paint is dripped or poured onto the canvas. This painting style has been used since 1946 by various famous Americans artists who defined it as: ” expressive power through material outbreaks in a frenetic vortex of signs. The Gallery collection is available in tow versions which are set apart by the cap; one offers the cap in this multicolor resin and the other offers the cap in black resin (Doue’). Trimmings are plated in either rhodium or 24Kt gold. Both versions offer the central ring is solid sterling silver 925%. The Sami people, more known as the Lap (Lapp), inhabit the extreme north of the Scandinavian Peninsula and, besides being the only native population in Europe (in Lapland there are traces of Sami going back to the ice Age, approximately 9600 years ago is one of the scarcest. Today, the total number of Sami is estimated to be about 75,000 of which 20,000 live in Sweden. To be Lapp meant to be a person that was a breeder of reindeer, a fisherman and a hunter. The pastures are considered today the more important resource on which the traditional culture stands. For centuries the majority population has had a patronizing attitude towards the Sami, which has affected cultural policy and politics. The current and official policy was adopted in 1963 and is expressed in the Parliamentary Records as follows: The policy of the national state must be to give the Sami-speaking population the opportunity to preserve its language and other cultural customs on terms that accord with the expressed wishes of the Sami themselves. Although the Sami population is not constituted in an independent state, it possesses a representative body, the Sami Parliament; a capital, Karasjok, and their own flag. The Limited Edition comprises 1963 roller balls (R/2) in 925% sterling silver. The rollerball version is easily convertible into a ballpoint pen. Named official painter of Philip IV, lived a period of intense activity as a portrait painter and favored by the members of the real family and the court. In 1627, Philip set a competition of the best painters of Spain with the subject to be the expulsion of the Moors. Velazquez won. In 1629, as an extra payment, he received 100 ducats for the picture of Bacchus. The spirit and aim of this work are better understood from its Spanish name, Los Borrachos (The Drunks), who are paying mock homage to a half-naked ivy-crowned young man seated on wine barrel. The painting is firm and solid, and the light and shade are more deftly handled than in former works. Altogether, this production may be taken as the most advanced example of the first style of Velazquez. Delta pays tribute to Velazquez’s painting “The Triumph of Baco”, but the town later called it “Los Borrachos.” It is a limited edition and each piece is numbered.
