It colours beautifully if used as a sketch pen. Colour is opaque and dark colour can be easily used over light colour without smudging (of course paper quality matters). For calligraphy/lettering I will say that it?s bit tricky to use till u get a hang of it. Good news is they have two black pens which actually helps you to practice bcoz as a beginners one can easily run out of black after practicing.
